Relocations often demand adaptability, especially when site conditions evolve unexpectedly. During a recent embassy relocation managed by Star Worldwide Group, our team encountered a unique challenge while handling a grand piano — a valuable family heirloom with significant emotional importance to the client.
The original plan involved transporting the instrument through the building’s staircase. However, during the execution stage it became clear that the staircase access would not allow safe movement of the piano due to space limitations and turning constraints. Rather than allowing the situation to delay the relocation schedule, our team quickly reassessed the site conditions and redesigned the movement strategy.
A controlled crane lift was arranged to safely move the piano directly to the second floor. The process involved careful planning, securing the instrument with appropriate lifting supports, and coordinating with technical specialists to ensure stable handling throughout the operation. Once positioned, the piano was carefully placed and reassembled at the designated location.
The successful execution of this move reflects Star Worldwide Group’s ability to adapt to unexpected site challenges while maintaining the highest standards of care for valuable and sentimental possessions. By combining problem-solving, planning, and coordinated execution, our team ensured the relocation continued smoothly while preserving an item of deep personal significance to the client.
